I've been wanting to make this project for a week now. Leftover cereal box + washi tape\s + a dash of creativity = DIY Cardboard letter! Here are the things you'll need:

Cereal box, scissors, outline of the Letter you want to make, washi tapes, scotch tape (not in this photo), glue (optional) and pencil

Trace and cut the two outlines of the Letter from the cereal box.

Place these insertions to make the a 3D letter. You'll get it on the next photos ;)

Once you're done sticking the front and back portion of the letter, its time to seal the sides with cardboard scraps. Make sure that you measure the width of the scraps. Mine is an inch thick. You may use glue and/or scotch tape or glue gun.

Tadaaah!

Closer look! But we're not yet done! I sealed mine with scotch tape.
Add your choice of washi tape/s. You can do almost anything at this point. Get creative!
Aaaaaaand this is the finished letter.

Perfect for my bedside table! I shall make more of these! Haha

It may not look like its easy but trust me, you can do this. A little creativity goes a long way! Why not make one right now? I'd love to see what designs you can come up with!

*You can get more washi tapes from Hey Kessy. I got mine for free when I joined I try DIY's Paper and Puncher Party. I swear you'll go crazy on the designs they have! You may even want to washify everything you see! Haha

Gathering up some inspiration for my next DIY project. I personally like the decoupaged and washified (wrapped with washi tape) letters.Time to use that cereal box sitting in the pantry! How about you, what’s your DIY project as of the moment? Feel free to share! :)

Just this morning I had this idea of turning my danish cookie can into a craft can. Well this is not entirely new since my grandmother and my mom used to do this. Its funny when we were kids we'd always mistake those danish cans filled with yummy butter cookies inside but end up seeing sewing materials (like the memes above).

These tin cans not only house yummy danish cookies but are decorative and useful as well. I’m looking forward to more danish cookie tins so I can put more of my stuff inside.

Last November 30, 2014, I was one of the lucky few to attend a Paper and Puncher Party hosted by Mikko Sumulong of I Try DIY held at the Hey Kessy Studio in Katipunan. I along with my two good friends who are all new to this crafternoon concept but are inclined to DIYs gamely participated. The two photos are proof that I was too busy that afternoon that I wasn’t able to take photos of all the ganaps that afternoon. Mikko and her Mom taught us different ways on how we could DIY and personalize cards and envelopes using paper punchers, stamps and anything under the sun. Your imaginaion and creativity is the limit. But come our free hand/free time session, we were particularly busy with punching gift tags because it was perfect for the holiday season. Its true that punching papers is addicting as well as making envelopes! So many punchers and papers to try but so little time! I really had the best time that afternoon. Met new people who are also very much into DIY. Two thumbs up for this ganap! I will surely find the time to attend another crafternoon in the future.

For more of your crafting needs, I Try DIY also sells a lot of stuff so do visit her shop here and you might find yourself buying all her stash and stuck inside your room crazy busy with punching papers, making cards and envelopes among others.
